Special Project Types
Apart from the standard CDM/JI projects, there are also two special project types. Firstly, there are Domestic Offset Projects,
which in fact constitute an advancement of the JI mechanism. Secondly, there is voluntary carbon offsetting. These project
types are designed to offset emissions not covered by emissions trading schemes or other climate policy instruments.
