NAMA Proposals Tunisia
Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions in Developing Countries (NAMAs) are a principal building block of the Bali Action
Plan. This study analyses the suitability of two proposals for NAMAs in Tunisia: on the one hand, it examines the chances of
expanding the existing Tunisian Solar Plan. On the other hand, it explores the potential for GHG mitigation in the Tunesien
waste sector. For the further elaboration of the NAMA concepts, Tunisia is currently seeking international partners from
Annex I countries. The study was conducted by GIZ, supported by the CDM-JI Initiative of the Federal Ministry for the
Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
